2. WW Southern Deep Fried Lobster Directions
- In a gallon-size zip-lock bag, combine the cornmeal, whole wheat flour, salt, pepper, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Shake well.
- Clean the lobster tails while keeping them in the shell. Set aside.
- Heat a deep skillet or large frying pan over medium-high heat. If using a smaller amount of oil, ensure the< oil is hot (about 365°F) for frying. Alternatively, use cooking spray for a lighter option.
- Place half of the lobster tails in the bag, shaking well to coat them completely. Remove the tails and set them on a rack over a tray to catch any drippings. Repeat with the remaining tails.
- Fry one lobster tail at a time in the oil or in a non-stick skillet until lightly browned, about 4 minutes. If using cooking spray, lightly spray the tails in the pan and cook until golden. Let fried tails dry on paper towels.
