2. Egg and Cheese Stuffed Bazlama Bread Directions
- In a large bowl, whisk together the whole wheat flour, active dry yeast, stevia (or erythritol), and salt.
- Add the warm unsweetened< almond milk and stir until a dough forms.
- Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl using cooking spray, cover it with plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
- In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, fat-free cheddar cheese, salt, and pepper to taste for the filling.
- Preheat a griddle or skillet over medium heat.
- Divide the dough into 6 equal pieces and roll out each piece into a thin circle.
- Place 1/6 of the filling in the center of each circle.
- Fold the edges of the dough over the filling and pinch to seal.
- Cook the bread on the preheated griddle for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through, using cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Serve the bread warm with your favorite dipping sauce.
